Blindessence's Review

Blindessence- ~*!*~ It’s my Life… Don’t You Forget

First Impressions:

~*~Username and Title: I love the name. Your name states many things, unless explained, and it‘s unique. I thought that I was going to pull out more of you, to really get to know ’your name’ and why you chose it, but it was something I couldn’t find.

-5/5.

~*~Thoughts While The Page Was Loading: It took longer than most Diaryland journals do, to load. And then Britney - Ew! After I got a glimpse of that sl*t I thought that you were going to be an immature teenager.

-2/5.

The Starlit-Lily Factor:

~*~Does Your Soul Shine Through? I don‘t think I ever got that interested and found your soul in any entry. You write day-to-day entries and skip days, maybe even longer. Almost all of your entries start out with what a bad day you had at work, how you had to work alone, or how bad you hate working. There is a lot more out in the world other than your job and what you had scheduled for that day. Why not write about other things, things that show feeling and emotion. Maybe even some poetry. -20/35.

~*~Are You Observant Of Beauty? I didn’t see (or remember) any posts about beauty, the earth, yourself and your thoughts about you, etc. I do know that your feelings were well put and described in one word: “Fuck!” I bet every one of your entries had “fuck” somewhere in it. You seem to really hate working and you talk of people and how you should have known better. And I do believe you said you didn’t like snow and that whoever did was crazy. You don’t enjoy the snow?! Snow is beautiful, cold, mysterious, fluffy, and sometimes can‘t be understood. Snow also covers up what‘s dirty and makes everything look clean. How can you not like snow?-20/35.

Layout:

Your personality doesn’t fit your layout and that’s basically what a layout should do, I think; it should reflect the writer. And I cannot stand Britney Spears, but that‘s just me. Maybe this would be a better layout for you. When I went to read your journal and clicked on your Archives I found another layout and it was Christina! That to me, is a no-no. If you use one layout, it should stay that way. I like to keep things tidy, which you do, and coordinated.-12/20.

Navigation:

Your links are tidy and all in one spot. I didn’t have to search around for anything and they got me to where I wanted to go! And you have three ways to contact you, if I wanted to!-10/10.

Content:

~*~Your Content: Your content is confusing. If you talk about someone you usually use “you” and when someone is reading your journal they can’t really follow along. Your journal is like a TV show, everyone watches it when it updates and follows along. If we don’t know the characters then we can’t really follow along. I couldn’t really get into your writing because of that. It was like I was in a big yard and every step I took, it felt as if I was walking in-place. Maybe you could use a cast page! You don‘t always have to talk about day-to-day things. You can talk about what your soul wants to say, dig deep, and put emotion, feeling, and thought into your journal--it‘s what it‘s for.-55/70.

~*~Your Grammar and Spelling: I've seen better. You cuss and it’s not that I’m against it, but you over use it and it makes you seem juvenile. You use it so much that it‘s just a word with no impact.-6/10.

Extras: You have your soundtrack, Rings, This Is Me, “I Read,” Playlist, and you‘ve posted lyrics.-15/10.

Will I Return?

Maybe, if you start to talk of people and not use “you“ all the time. Then I wouldn‘t be so confused all of the time.

Comments:

All around, your journal wasn’t bad. I am going to give you extra points for mentioning Fleetwood Mac and the fact that you listen/like them! Stevie is one of my idols! I also liked how you went about your ‘frist review.’ It wasn’t great and you accepted that. I give you 5 golden stars for that!

Total:145/200.

"Dreams are postcards from our subconscious, inner self to outer self, right brain trying to cross that moat to the left. Too often they come back unread: "return to sender, addressee unknown."
