~*~Does Your Soul Shine Through? I'll say it twinkles through, because there were times that I was reading it and I thought, "Okay we're really getting somewhere here." And you touched on these emotions or these moments that really would have allowed you to show the bright shining star I think you really are. But instead you backed off, you switched topics and it was frustrating. It was like you didn't want to look at the darker parts of things so you stayed upbeat, and that is fine, its good that you want to focus on he nice things. But your soul is made up of so much more than the happy moments of your day. I'm not saying go out and obsess over something bleak, I'm just saying that I never get a full sense of you, just a taste. Maybe that makes some people want to know more, but it left me feeling frustrated -30/35.

~*~Are You Observant Of Beauty? Yes, You see it, you know its out there. You seem to look on the bright side of things more often then not. When you write about your boyfriend or about the stars in Brentwood that one night. You speak about these things and you make other people that are reading it see the beauty as well. You could touch on it more but I'll get to that later. -29/35.

Layout:

I love love love Exploding Dog, so I am a little bit biased with this layout. I think there is something so beautiful and heartfelt in those tiny little stick figures. And although it doesn't really suit your username in my eyes, I think it suits your content. The two little observers off in their own world fits. J did a really nice job with this design -20/20.

Navigation:

No complaints. All at the bottom in sectioned off columns. It is aesthetically pleasing, all in all nicely done. -9/10.

Content:

~*~Your Content: I read from January up until the Index as well as clicking through various entries that caught my eye.

Your content is nice enough. But the truth is it isn't anything special. I like some of the things that you write about as I said in the beginning of this review. You touch on some really beautiful things. You write about these heart felt emotions.

But, and there is a but. What you write is sometimes painfully boring. More than a few times I simply browsed the entry and clicked forward in hopes of finding something to hold my interest. You don't need to write about action and adventure at all times because that isn't life, but sometimes it felt like you were keeping a log not a diary. You give a play by play of your day or what you're doing at the moment of entry. I don't need to know all things at all times. Show me, don't tell me. What are you feeling? That's what counts. I could look at you and see what you were doing, but I read a diary to find the secrets. To see what's on the inside.

That isn't to say that you don't write about important things. Sometimes you do. You write something so honest and yet you don't get into it. You don't fulfill this promise you made with the hint of your words and like I said earlier you leave me with just a taste and if I can't have the full meal I don't want it at all. -55/70.

~*~Your Grammar and Spelling: You have no real problems with spelling. And the grammar mistakes you make can be forgiven because they look as though they were done purposefully. If there were typos they were done for aesthetics -9/10.

Extras:
Not a lot. A few things here and there. Basic info as well as a little extra just for show -6/10.

Will I Return?

Probably not. Your diary is nice but it didn't hold my attention.

You said in one of your entries that you weren't like other girls, but the truth is you are. And there is nothing wrong with that. It is what it is, and diaries like yours abound in diaryland. You are a girl that is trying to figure out just who she is and where she should be. What is more universal than that?
