Ktdream's Review

Ktdream- ~*!*~ *a lovely snow-kitten*

First Impressions:

~*~Username and Title: Oh, they're both simply adorable. "Ktdream" is very original, it doesn't involve numbers--and, snow-kittens? You're obviously woman after my own heart. I love them both--I heart kitties in any form.-4/5.

~*~Thoughts While The Page Was Loading: What a cute kitten! Can I pet the kitty? Please? Pleeeease?-5/5.

The Starlit-Lily Factor:

~*~Does Your Soul Shine Through? I'm absolutely amazed to find myself saying this--yes, it does. Why am I amazed? Because you daylog with a vengeance. And yet I was still able to get to know you. You come across as being soft and gentle, a person without enemies, someone who is loved by all--and who seems to love all. As dorky as this sounds, if I knew you, I'd want to be friends with you. You present an aura of intelligence and softness, and trustworthiness. In short, you come across as being beautiful.-30/35.

~*~Are You Observant Of Beauty? Yes. Your diary isn't slathered with beauty, which I normally like, but you have lovely observations here and there. I especially loved it when you were talking about how beautiful you found the trees on campus. So many people overlook the simple, everyday things in nature--you, apparently, do not. You're definitely observant of the glory in other people, and in the exerpts of your professional writing that you include, it's very apparent that you're a sensitive, soulful young woman. Kudos to you, Kathy. My only request, is that in the future--for I will be adding you to my favorites--you take some time in your diary, to expand on your spirituality. Take a transcendalist path, and explore nature a little more. It's good for you. (By the way, I love girls who go by Kathy rather than "Katie" or "Kate". I always thought anyone could be a Katie or a Kate, but that it takes true personal strength to be Kathy. Don't ask me why.)-29/35.

Layout:

Your layout put me in a better mood the moment I saw it. The entry box is nicely sized, the font is simple yet appealing. And that cat. I adore cats, I really do. I have five of them myself. And nothing beats a tiny, big-eyed kitten. Your chosen colors for the rest of the layout are soft, letting that image dominate, which is really nice and easy on the eyes.-18/20.

Navigation:

Ahh, the Navigation I didn't like as much as the rest of it. It's bloody boring, for one. That green seems slightly misplaced in the scheme of things, and the links are entirely too small--not to mention, they should be capitalized--for that box. I would consider making the box a color more like the kitten's eyes, perhaps this color(It's #336699) or something. All in all, though, it's an appealing package.-6/10.

Content:

~*~Your Content: I started reading where your archiving left off, because that was about the three-month mark, which is all I'm willing to read unless for whatever reason, in order to get a truly good grasp on someone, I need to read further. That being said...

You have a beautiful writing style. Even if you didn't state it many, many times in your diary, I would be able to guess you were majoring in some field of English. You're well-spoken, and thorough, and very descriptive. As a future Creative Writing major myself, I admire and appreciate that.

When I first started reading, I wanted to whine. I wanted to whimper. I myself try so hard not to daylog because I know how irritating it is for reviewers. And you, dear Kathy, daylog with a vengeance, as I said. But as I read, I saw it was because you have such a fascinating life. I'd probably want to daylog much more if I had so many friends and interesting things to do, too! I was floored to realize that, in spite of the fact that you daylog, you still manage to speak of your spirituality, of the beauty in your life, about deeper things than just, "I saw so-and-so today!" And you made me laugh, and smile. That's a good thing; you're a reviewer, you know what it's like to need to be able to enjoy a diary.

I learned to like you, a lot, as I read your diary. You're so...kind, it seems. But strong. You doubt yourself at times--don't we all?--but you're basically happy, it seems. (Thank you for not being a cutter.) You describe things with a flare that impresses even me. I can see how you'd make a wonderful writer, and truthfully, I look forward to reading your work in the future. Just another favor here...leave out the mile-long AIM conversations. They caused me pain.

Oh, by the way. How do you keep all the guys you're attracted to straight?-60/70.

~*~Your Grammar and Spelling: You had some errors in most of your entries, but they were small. The AIM conversations were the worst, though. I despise Cybenglish.-5/10.

Extras:
Yes, many. I lost almost a whole day of time I should've been reading your entries playing with your extras.-10/10.

Will I Return?

I will.

Comments:

Daylog just a little less, Kathy. You're a wonderful person--won't you show the world the beauty of your thoughts?

Total:167/200.

"Dreams are postcards from our subconscious, inner self to outer self, right brain trying to cross that moat to the left. Too often they come back unread: "return to sender, addressee unknown."
