Xslashedx's Review March 11, 2004 @ 1:37 p.m. Xslashedx- ~*!*~ you are my POISON!~ ~*~Username and Title:Wow. The only thing I can say about the username and the title, is that they both scream needy clingy obsessive teenage CUTTER! Ugh, not another one...-1/5. ~*~Thoughts While The Page Was Loading:This blue is lovely. I like blue. It soothes me. What is up with the navigation...? -2/5. The Starlit-Lily Factor: ~*~Does Your Soul Shine Through? You're rather vague at times, but somehow, I have to say yes on this one. I get a fairly strong sense of who you are, despite your too-short entries and somewhat rambling way of speaking. You seem strong, but also delicate--like hand-blown glass infused with titanium or something. You're beautiful, that's for certain. There's an artistic sensitivity about you that I love, and feel drawn to. You're probably the type of person I would gravitate toward in seeking a friendship--you seem almost otherworldly, which is beautiful.-33/35. ~*~Are You Observant Of Beauty? I think so. Again, I'm not entirely sure how I came to be saying Yes to this, in regards to you, based on what I started off with--in regards to your first entries--but after having read them all, and having contemplated some of your more profound entries, I have to say yes. You seem to look within people, to look within yourself, to visit subjects with a butterfly touch and a light, ethereal viewpoint. It's like a broken-hearted woman combined with a delicate little sylph--viewing the world as one. I love that. -31/35. Layout: I like the blue background, and the font, and the picture of you. That's about all I like. The links make me want to beat someone--most likely the person who inspired you to use such a type of link--repeatedly, with a nice pointy brick. Bricks aren't pointy? Well, when I find one that is, or terrify someone into making me one, I'm going to hunt down some people and injure them. Those links are NOT USER FRIENDLY. Also, the distribution bothers me. And the lack of consistency. Did I mention that I also find this layout somewhat boring? No? Well, now you know. Change it. Get a whole new layout, if you don't mind...though leave the picture. It's pretty. -7/20. Navigation: Oh, I hate and loathe and despise your navigation. I mean it! It's a crime against humanity. Change it. Change it now. I can't stand it.-1/10. Content: ~*~Your Content: I read from start to finish and everything in between. That being said... Oh, meh. Is this another rant-style journal? It certainly seems that way. You give a brief cast, and mention their names in maybe two out of twenty entries, unless you're particularly distraught for them or over them, but mostly, you ramble to a faceless nameless entity that the rest of us can only guess at. I'm assuming a lot of the time you're talking to your former significant others? At times it seems like you you acquired this diary just to talk about them, to them, without anyone overhearing your thoughts. You have some gorgeous thoughts, though. There's a sense of recklessness, a fey quality to your words, which enchants and charms me. Quite a few of your entries are like that lovely old cliché of the girl with the wild tumbling tresses and the gorgeous flowing dress running heedlessly through a meadow filled with flowers as wildly, earthly beautiful as she herself is. You seem to want to escape your life in some aspects--doesn't everyone?--and writing seems to be your outlet. This is great! I wholeheartedly approve. My biggest complaint is probably that your entries are too short. It annoys me. I want to be able to read more about you, to understand you, to know you. I think I have a fairly good idea from what I've read thus far, but I want to know more, as a reviewer. Who are you, really? It was a pleasure reading your diary, it really was. You have a beautiful way of manipulating words, and conveying emotion.-66/70. ~*~Your Grammar and Spelling:Some errors, some errors...but I won't kill you.-7/10. Extras: Will I Return? Probably, actually. I'd just like to see a different layout. Comments: Meri, you're a beautiful person. Don't change. Total:158/200. ![]() !~***~ ~*~!~*~ ~***~! ~*~Recently Reviewed Lilies~*~ |
